About me

I’m a printmaker based in Dumfries and Galloway, surrounded by the trees that inspire much of my work.

I studied at the Glasgow School of Art and, after graduating in 2010, began working at the Glasgow Print Studio. It was a formative period — I had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from many remarkable artists including John Byrne, Philip Reeves and Ciara Phillips. The time I spent there deepened my technical knowledge and shaped my approach to printmaking.

Since relocating to Galloway, my practice has taken a new direction. Without access to a press, I began developing ways of working directly with materials from the landscape — making woodcut relief prints using sections of fallen or cut trees. The resulting prints are both records and reflections: impressions of time, growth, and place.

Recent exhibitions include Spring Fling, Decade at Kirkcudbright Galleries, Landmarks at Glasgow Print Studio, and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2024 & 2025).
